What is Skills Exchange?

Skills Exchange is a simple concept. You offer your skills to another individual or organisation that could not otherwise afford or have access to them. BCP provides the brokerage to ensure the right match is made; your expectations and your availability is managed.

Who are Skills Exchange Volunteers?
Our volunteers come from all walks of life and organisations, voluntary sector, businesses (small and large), individual consultants, and from the public sector.  Their skills are varied as is the time that they are able to commit to.

Who is Eligible for Support?
We prioritise organisations that can demonstrate they cannot pay for the support requested.  We will support:

  •  Community, voluntary and not for profit organisations,
  •  Small businesses and social enterprises.

What type of Support is Available?
Depending on availability our Skills Exchange Volunteers can provide advice and information in a wide range of areas, for example:

  •  PR and Marketing
  •  Sales
  •  Legal and HR/employment
  •  Business development, strategy, business planning
  •  Trading
  •  Governance and legal structures
  •  Contracts and Leases
  •  One-to-one support on specific issues
