BCP is a key player in the infrastructure provision to the community and voluntary sector in Brighton and Hove. We are active in the organisational support hub to deliver the ChangeUp Infrastructure Development Plan for the city.

We are currently preparing joint bids with Brighton and Hove Community Initiatives, the Working Together Project, and Sussex Community Internet Project with whom we enjoy longstanding and productive working relationships. BCP is an active member of the Community and Voluntary Sector Forum.

BCP has also been engaged in the ChangeUp consortium since its inception and is leading on the delivery of engaging business support and social enterprise development.

On delivery of support to social enterprise, BCP is the lead organistion in the city, but we work closely with partners to ensure breath of coverage. We have a relationship with the University of Brighton to deliver business skills training to social enterprises, and have jointly delivered workshops to the East Sussex ProfitNet group, Sussex Enterprise business advisors, and business advisors at Business Link.

BCP has also been nominated by South East England Development Agency (SEEDA) to lead a 9th County Network of social enterprises, specifically for Brighton and Hove. This group co-ordinates with other county networks in the SEEDA region.

BCP works closely with Brighton and Hove City Council. We have a close relationship with the economic development department, which has supported our work with social enterprises. We are working with the environmental sustainability department to develop a strategy for sustainable business in the city.

Our Business Action on Homelessness project is active on the Home to Work board.

BCP's equal project co-ordinates employer engagement in partnership with 23 organisations funded by Brighton and Hove Equal. We run the Operational Employer Engagement Group and participate in the AIF Workforce Development Strategy Group. BCP is also active in the Equal Management Partnership and the Transnational Working Group.

Our East Brighton Business Support project works closely with Job Centre Plus to deliver joint training and support to potential entrepreneurs in East Brigthon, and has been active within Eb4U since March 2004.

BCP also has representatives on the Brighton and Hove Healthy City Board.

We maintain a partnership with Business in the Community on whose behalf we deliver some of our projects.
